1.1. Task 1 Unit 11 grade 7
Look at the pictures below. What do you think is the connection between them? (Look at the pictures below. What do you think is the connection between them?)
Guide to answer
These are all personal means of transport. One person can travel on them. They are all used for ground transport. People control them by using handles bars.
Translated:
These are all private means of transport. A person can use them for commuting. All these vehicles are used to move on the ground. The operator uses the steering wheel to control.
1.2. Task 2 Unit 11 grade 7
Read the text below and find the names of the transport inventions. (Read the passage below and find the names of the inventions about means of transport.)
Translated:
There are many interesting transportation inventions. Some inventions became popular, but others did not!
Personal two-wheelers on the ground. This vehicle travels at a speed of 30km per hour. But this car is not popular. Maybe because it’s too expensive. Personally, I think it’s too hard to park this car!
A unicycle is a bicycle with only one wheel. The driver sits inside the wheel and depresses the pedal to go forward. The main problem is that it can be very easy to fall. I think this car looks a bit weird.
Segway was a successful invention. It is a vehicle with two wheels. The driver pulls the handle to reverse or push the vehicle forward. This car is not as common as the inventor expected, but you can see it in the airport or in the parking lot. My guess is that the car is convenient and a “green” way to travel.
What new invention will we use in the future? What invention will we not use? It’s hard to know!
1.3. Task 3 Unit 11 grade 7
Can you find words in the text to -match the definitions below? Can you find words in the text to connect the definitions below?
Guide to answer

1.4. Task 4 Unit 11 grade 7
Answer the following questions. (Answer the following questions)

(Why aren’t more people using two-wheelers?)
3. Which transport does the writer think is strange? (Which medium does the writer think is strange?)
4. Which transport is eco-friendly? (Which vehicle is eco-friendly?)
Guide to answer

While we (5)……….., engineers and designers all over the world are testing out what could become the (6) ………… … of the future. Witness the just-launched prototype of the ‘Superbus’, (7)…………. by CNN as the love child of a DeLorean and a stretch limo. We get die feeling these (8)…….. are often designed to be fast, fuel-efficient and, well, out-of-this-world.
Granted, some of them may never (9)……….. to our roads, skies or ‘teleportation passageways’, but it’s fun envisioning what the (10) ….. ………. may hold.
