[QA] What Is BBW? Find The Answer To That Question And More!

It is a simple question really and it is a question that a lot of people have been asking for quite a while now. It is an acronym but what does it stand for? Does it stand for Big Bicycle World? Nope that is not it. Does it stand for Blue Beach Waves? Nope. BBW is short for Big Beautiful Woman or women. That is it in a nutshell but where did the term come from besides the obvious?

Only in America could the term in question come into existence and it was born or coined in the year 1979, although it had been used as slang for many many years prior. This is the date that it became known to the American public when Carole Shaw’s publication entitled “BBW Magazine” made it’s world debut. What was a fashion magazine that talked about lifestyle for plus sized women coined a phrase that has become the topic of thousands of conversations.

While that may have been the public christening of the word, big beautiful woman have been admired through out much of our history. Peter Paul Rubens, a famous painter that was born in the year 1577 is known for his fabulous paintings depicting women that were larger than life.

The term has grown to include many different body styles and shapes. It does not only refer to women that are fat or obese but it also refers to women that might just be a little over weight or chunky and everywhere in between.

By today’s standard famous women like Marylin Monroe might be considered as a BBW. Just think of all the scandals through out history that voluptuous women have been a part of.

Many women today are more than proud to call themselves big beautiful women and they should be. They are beautiful and they know it and they flaunt it with their every move. They are sexy and deserve the attention that men throw upon them. In fact Men from all over the world are mesmerized by them. Just think of all of the songs in the past that have been written exclusively about large women. The subject has been in everything from rock to rap songs and today it has been made even more popular with the power of technology.

There are a few other similar acronyms that are worth knowing especially if you like larger women. There is SSBBW, which takes the term one step further. Not only are these women big but they are Super Sized Big Beautiful Women. Another popular one is BBBW. This acronym refers to big beautiful black women.
