When going on a interview one of the most difficult question you may be asked is, “What is Your Biggest Weakness?” You want to prepare for this question but at the same time to not sound rehearsed or that your response can directly form a book. You never want to give information that can prevent you from getting the job or an answer that you think the interviewer wants you to hear.

Here are a few suggestions of things you might say on your interview.

1. You want to present yourself in the best light possible so don’t emphasis those traits that can keep you form getting the job. If the job takes a person must delegate work to others, make sure you don’t say you have trouble working with others.

2. Always be honest with the interviewer because they will easily know if you are lying. Don’t make up a weakness, the interviewer will see right through you.

3. Don’t avoid the question and don’t give a pat answer such as, “I tend to work to hard” because the interviewer has heard that a million times. It is best to admit a real weakness and then tell the interviewer the things you are doing to overcome the weakness. Keep in mind that the job you are interviewing for you need to tailor your answers for that job.

4. Stick to the truth and do not babble because this type of question tens to throw people causing them to loose there composer, so it is best to be prepared for this question so that you can answer it briefly with confidence.

Lastly, don’t ever answer the question by saying by biggest strength or my biggest weakness is, because this will sound like you are given a memorized speech, remember that you want to give the interviewer the feeling you can answer a question with thought and spontaneity at the same time.
