Mr. Willis: Lisa, Simon, I just heard some good news.
Simon: What’s the matter, dad?
Mr. Willis: It was announced on television that a new wildlife park would open to the public next week. Would you like to visit it?
Lisa: Sure. Are there dinosaurs there?
Simon: They’re extinct, Lisa. The last dinosaurs died out millions of years ago.
Mr. Willis: That’s right. You can’t see extinct animals there.
Lisa: So what wildlife can we see in the park?
Mr. Willis: Endangered animals, like tigers and rhinos.
Simon: Are there trees and plants that are dangerous? I have a biology assignment about endangered plants.
Mr. Willis: My father is not. But a friend of mine, Tracy, can help you.
Simon: Tracy? Yes, I miss her. She is a biologist. Where is she working?
Mr. Willis: At the Botanical Garden. You can find a lot of interesting facts there.
Simon: That sounds good. Thank you dad. So visit the wildlife park on Saturday morning, and then head to the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon on the way home. Hopefully, you will have gathered enough information by Sunday, so that you can start working next week.
Lisa: It will be very tiring! We will walk for hours when we reach the Botanical Garden.
Mr. Willis: Do not worry. We’ll drive through the park.
Lisa: Oh really? That would be fun. Can we have a picnic or build a camp there?
Mr. Willis: No, my father is not. That can scare animals and pollute the air. The louder the baby and the smoke, the less safe the environment will become for animals.
Lisa: I see… Can I ask some friends to join us?
Mr. Willis: Sure. The more the merrier.
