Student A: We are facing severe pollution despite the fact that many world environmental organizations are working hard to reduce it.
Student B: Well, it is a result of human activities in modern times. For example, air pollution is a consequence of fossil fuel burning by motor vehicles, factories, aircraft and rockets.
Student A: You’re right. It leads to a series of environmental problems such as acid rain, greenhouse effect, global warming and health problems.
Student B: Well, if this goes on, the Earth may soon become a dangerous place to live on. Therefore, we must do something before it is too late.
Translated:
Student A: We are facing serious environmental pollution even though many organizations are working hard to reduce it.
Student B: Well, it’s the result of human activities in modern times. For example, air pollution is the result of fossil fuel burning by vehicles, factories, airplanes and trains.
Student A: You are correct. It leads to a series of environmental problems such as acid rain, greenhouse effect, global warming and health problems.
Student B: Well, if this continues, the earth may soon become a dangerous place to live. So we have to do something before it’s too late.
